“The room was so light and airy . We stayed in one of top rooms,with sea view. Offered everything we needed for our three night stay. Comfy bed , and fresh towels , lots of storage space and refreshments facilities too, the fridge a bonus. Would definitely stay again .”

“The hotel was in a beautiful setting and really well decorated. Location is great and just a nice half hour walk to Whitby town. Staff were super helpful and friendly- particularly in the beach house and in the spa. The restaurant was ok. Food an bit overpriced and service wasn’t amazing- such as forgot our drinks a couple of times times and wine came after finished meal. Didn’t try food in beach house but looked nice. Opted for an outside bath room but water would only reach Luke warm, told It……

“Furniture and fittings very antiquated. Bedding very old and worn, bed linen did not look clean and fresh. Bathroom shower looks as if mould growing around base, not hot water to the basin, towels very worn and ruff. Breakfast very poor, left on landing to help yourself, cereal and fruit only not worth the payment charged. Parking not easy and very limited particularly for the larger car. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money.”

“Stayed as a solo traveller for one night for a quick visit to Whitby. Staff were very friendly on the phone when I called to firm up arrangements, and same when greeting me when I arrived. Good amount of private parking available. I arrived at 11:30am before chicken in (3pm) but no issues using the car park while I explored the town. When I did check in, I found the room clean and comfortable. The decor may be a little dated but it was perfect for my needs. Bathroom looked fairly new and……

“From reading the reviews and viewings the photos I had a great feeling about the property and felt it really suited the escape I had in mind. And it surpassed all my expectations. The view and idyllic setting of the property, the cosiness of the cottage and the communication/instructions from the owner and responsiveness was all exceptional. I can see why it has so many returning guests. The guest book was great for tips on where to see the wildlife and where to visit. I can't wait to return.……
