「The location of this apartment is okay, and check-in was very smooth. The apartment is a bit worn in some places and could benefit from some maintenance, especially the windows, the blinds, and baseboard heaters are broken. The toilet was not cleaned and there was no toilet paper. I contacted the host and he did drop some off about 6 hours later. For the kitchen, the oven, underneath the sink, and the utensil drawer were not cleaned. A quick heads-up to future guests, bring your own linens....

「Considering this apartment’s great price & convenient location - across from the convention center, and just a block away from the Redding terminal market, you really can’t go wrong! It’s one bedroom, but there are two full-size beds and a couch that can be converted into a sleeper as well as a few air mattresses in the closet if needed. We discovered the floors were a bit dirty, which we didn’t realize until we started getting into bed and our socks were leaving hair and dust and lint all over...

「Description and photos set appropriate expectations. Yes, there is an elevated train outside the door. Did it bother us? No, we were expecting it and being close to a stop was an added plus for touring the city. The studio was clean, the host communicated quickly and clearly when the VRBO website didn't so that we had no delay in checking in, the toiletry amenities were unexpected and thoughtful, and the prepared notebook of options for restaurants and places to visit was appreciated.
