“Free parking, good breakfast. All good really.”

“There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark.”

“A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again.”

“We chose this hotel because of its fabulous location and the photos on the website, which made it look stylish and inviting. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match our expectations. The hotel itself is looking quite tired and could really do with some refurbishment. We were also looking forward to the food after seeing the menu and photos online, but it turned out there was a new chef and a completely different menu. “Great location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, nice toiletries and great selection of coffee and teas. Great food and drinks available onsite. Ideas for improvement- larger fridge, the fridge is tiny - other than the free water that is provided you can’t fit anything more in there. Robes would be nice as well as body lotion or hand cream in the bathroom.”

“It was a good location for us as we were travelling to and from Fordingbridge. Location is near a busy road but I have to say this did not affect the quality of our sleep at all, we slept soundly. Very clean, great in room facilities. The shower was a little small but can't be helped given the size of the room - and this had everything we needed within it. I stupidly hadn't made a note of the code for the key lock and discovered when we arrived, very late, that I had no mobile signal and……

“The property is situated in a quiet setting and just a few minutes walk from the magnificent seafront. Being a Inn and a weekend stay.. quite busy during the day and early evening, but to be expected. Staff were very polite and helpful and the food was to a very good standard. There was live music outside throughout the day on the Saturday not to loud, which was great to sit out listening to. “No breakfast available despite being listed as such. Previous reviews mention staff but there were none. Room was fairly clean and comfortable. Entry via key code which means the same code for the main door and the room door - has someone unlock my room when I was in it. Not very safe and very poor for the money. Would not recommend. ”
