“Our stay in the hotel was comfortable and the hotel is located just adjacent to the train station. The breakfast is great. Yet the room may need some renovation as it actually getting old. During check-in, we were informed to pay for the hotel, which we already paid during the booking, but it was rectified once we spoke to the hotel staff during check-out. ”

“The place was very clean, and Jean, the host, was ready with any questions we had. With her recommendation, we utilized the Park and Ride just down the road for the two days we went into York. It was the perfect place for a break in driving from Scotland and we thoroughly enjoyed both the place and the host... she was very friendly and helpful. “What a fantastic stay at The Carpenters cottage. The hosts Helen and Patrick were so warm and welcoming and Patrick also has an amazing workshop you can have a look at. We came to stay for my birthday to watch a band at the arts centre, and had such a wonderful time. Everybody was so kind and generous. The cottage was very comfortable, super clean and warm. The log burner is brilliant. Easy walk into the centre of town and lots of places to eat and drink. Definitely will stay again of we're……
