「All round it was excellent. Great choice and quality for breakfast. Lovely staff. And if you stay here spend a couple of hours in the bar - the atmosphere is great and the decoration with the nautical theme is fantastic.」

「Friendly staff, nice breakfast, unfortunately no hot water for the whole weekend. Staff kept saying it was repaired but that wasn't the case. The weekend, was cold and wet so no hot shower was pretty grim.」

「Excellent, spacious room which was very clean as was the en suite bathroom. There was a good breakfast menu and the cooking was very good. The location just off the central market place is excellent and it is a good spot for exploring the Borders. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful.」

「On arrival we were greeted well and efficiently, however there was not really enough staff to cover everything. Staff were friendly and very helpful . I booked for three nights and expected three full English breakfasts. Unfortunately upon arrival we were informed that there was no chef for Saturday morning while this was disappointing we were assured all would be ok for Sunday and Monday morning . On Sunday there was a full English which was good, however Monday morning chef failed to turn up...
