「We had a lovely stay at Marin Castle. We came for the view and it didn’t disappoint! Alice was a fantastic host and answered all of our questions quickly. We were in town to visit family in Alameda and Petaluma. If we come again, we would plan for several days of relaxation on top of the mountain rather than go up and down the mountain for our visits as it added extra time to our day. 「First of all, no fire pit.Switches that don't seem to go to anything. Recommendation: Switches that DO something should be labeled.In two of the rooms the ceiling fans/lights had been turned off using the pull chains making it initially confusing to turn them on - why would they have been left that way?!?!Why would you have water turned off under the sinks on the day guests are arriving?Coffee table hadn't been placed back in the middle of the living room rug. We had to move it.Kitchen cupboards...

「Great experience. The owner is very communicative. She lives at the residence along with a housekeeper but they don't bother anyone. Owner made me feel at home and took great care of me. Others were there as well but I never saw them. Pool was still not working but that was ok to me. I would definitely stay again.」
