“Best hotel in Cartagena”

“The staff was amazing. The rooms were big and updated. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was ok. I will have one negative comment to make. The Hotel did not have an elevator it was all stairs. I was put in a room on the 4th floor. I have knee problems and that was horrible for me. When it rained the stairs would get wet and I was afraid to fall. I requested another room and they were completely booked. They should mention that on the hotel website. The fifth floor which was the rooftop……

“Room dated and had a clogged sink plus gnats biting me all night and a roach that crawled onto a shirt and across my pillows. Washing all clothes from my suitcase, even those unworn, as a result. Basic complaint was cleaning service as rest of the staff was lovely. Took 3 attempts and nearly two hours to have some broken glass from a water bottle cleaned off the floor with stressing that it was urgent since I was with my 16 month old grandson.”

“Perfect location in the center of old town. Stunningly decorated and furnished - felt both modern and distinctly Colombian. The staff were truly outstanding, offering generous and friendly help at every turn. The breakfast is included and delicious. The rooms were perfectly air conditioned and had black out curtains, offering a welcome reprieve from the sun after a long day out and about. The rooftop pool is small but luxurious and has incredible sunset views! We loved it here and will……

“Airport shuttle sent from hotel (at a small cost) was waiting with a sign. Very friendly and accommodating. Hotel staff was so kind, professional and very helpful! The property is very appealing. Room was great, comfortable beds and very cold A/C. We would stay again!”

“We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Ms. Gisela, housekeeper, did a fantastic job. We always came back to our rooms with clean towels and room. The staff from front desk to doorman were all amazing. I have to point out the delicious dinner experience we had. The ceviche, seafood pasta, steak and wine were absolutely outstanding. I recommend this place to everyone. The location is excellent, close to everything. You will not be disappointed!”

“Truly a 10/10 stay, highly recommend Casa Claver. My sister and I stayed for the long weekend, we felt the property was very well maintained, clean, safe, and all of the staff and other guests were so welcoming and kind. Very walkable location, but also super easy to Uber all around.”

“I did not like that the reception staff from the evening to the next morning did not speak a single word of English. Made it very hard to communicate and order a very early taxi pick up. Although I had aldready booked this with the English speaking guy upon arrival. The morning guy was clueless.”
