“Lovely stay great breakfast”

“Access was easy, room clean and as described. Only drawback was my room was roadside and was affected by the traffic noise. Could triple glazing be used to avoid any noise?”

“The room was very clean and tidy! Staff are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing very filling! And the parking is very easy too access but when there are a few guests staying the car park can get very tight, overall really good and best bit its only 17 mins drive too Alton towers from there ”

“I am so happy we stayed at the Pilsley Inn. It is located in a lovely little village just outside of Chatsworth House. I felt like I had stepped back in time. “Hotels.com with the hotel have some payment issue. When I check in the hotel front desk staff said that i need to pay for this trip, however, I already fully paid when i booked the hotel. After check and clarified she confirmed already received my payment. And I called to Hotel.com the staff request me to pay again for the hotel and refund my previous payment with Hotel.com due to some payment issue between Hotel.com and the Hotel. But is it the issue of customer why i have to do that. Also……

“Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. My only criticism is that I didn’t really rate the mattress, the bed was too hard for me. Additionally, a blind on the Velux window would be……

“The property itself was lovely. However, during my two day stay, the water temperature in my room's en suite bathroom was cold, and then tepid, both for the basin and shower. The shower water pressure was also very poor. Finally, I had early starts on both mornings, and the fire alarm went off in my bedroom due to "steam" from the bathroom. I could not switch it off, and it was extremely embarrassing early on a Sunday morning. Staff nice, parking good, but a disappointing stay due to the lack of……

“Dog friendly and in good location. Very handy for one night stopover and would use again. Room could do with a bit of deep cleaning/ maintenence in some places, particularly mould around bathroom window frame. ”

“Room was top floor and quite stuffy. As it’s a listed building, windows were very old and the outside noise was quite loud.”

“Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.”
