「We loved staying at the Nicolas. The room was so cozy and comfortable and the lobby was equipped with seltzer and snacks. Great location but off the main drag so the hotel was very quiet. 」

Continental breakfast on the floor and cookies in the afternoon with fresh fruit all day was delightful. The rooftop bar was amazing. The lobby restaurant was incredible. Best steak and sides on our trip to the South lease eat there. You will not regret it. Staff was incredible. 」

「This was a pricey stay, but worth it. The convenient downtown location put us in the heart of so much of what classic Charleston has to offer. Our room was small but elegant and the lobby where we ate the breakfast offerings and Carmella’s (right across the street) gelatos, was beautifully decorated and peaceful. 「My sister and I stayed here for our trip to Charleston and this hotel did not disappoint. You get exactly what you’re looking for, a historic hotel within walking distance, a beautiful lobby and interior with updated rooms but still having that old charm to it. The room was spacious with 2 large closets and a full length mirror (very much appreciated by my sister and I) The bathroom was smaller but to be expected with older hotels, the only downfall was the plumbing. 「The Hampton Inn Charleston Historic District was conveniently located and a short walk or ride to many activities and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and the staff worked hard to keep everything replenished. The rooms and beds were comfortable and surprisingly quiet. 」
