"The rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, outdoor pool was nice. There is no beach front and the seaweed has taken over what is there. The common areas were not busy at all, this may be due to part of the resort being residential. Overall a good resort. "

"Hotel overall was nice. However, one of the reasons we booked was the advertised free shuttle to the airport, but when we arrived, we were told we had missed a window to book and we had to pay ~$85 for transport. "

"Our first time at Grand Park Royal Cozumel did not disappoint overall. Cons: The rooms are a tad small. We had 2 adults/2 kids in a double bed room and felt a little cramped. The gym was not great. Not much for cardio, and the equipment was outdate. Advertised a sauna, but it was not in use. Pros: The pools were clean. The beach area is not huge but it felt safe, especially for kids, and we were able to snorkel and enjoy the ocean. The wait for drinks at most of the bars was a bit long and annoying at times. The staff was friendly but did not seem too eager to help. The Kids Club was GREAT! It was clean and the staff was super friendly. My boys, ages 8 and 6, enjoyed many activities in the kids club and we felt safe leaving them in the care of the staff. The restaurants were a bit disappointing and didn't feel like we had many options, but we took a cab into town two nights during our trip and explored and eat there. Overall the resort was well-rounded for kids and adults. The entertainment at night was fun. Everyone had a great time and we plan to return."

"Smooth arrival and check in. The room was cleaned “okay” upon our arrival to the room, although few garbage pieces were still present from previous occupants. Not a big deal but still 😐 The room cleaning is inconsistent, one day cleaned, next no, same with nightly turn down service, it was done not on every night. Concierge service in What’s app is not good and the only thing that made us unhappy. We were let down on dinner reservations many times with empty promises and no follow ups. They need to seriously work on this issue. Beach is very rocky with seaweed, although they have nice soft daybeds with shade on the beach. If great beach to swim is important to you, it’s not the place for you then. The food is amazing and portions are big but we had to tell about daughter’s nut allergies ourselves, no one ever asks about it at the time of food ordering. Would be great if they did. Also it’s about and hour to get the food after ordering, keep that in mind. The beach club is very very nice! Service is great at the beach club! Very hardworking staff 🙏 The grounds are beautiful, staff is friendly. All the cart drivers are very nice and friendly. Overall we had an excellent vacation! Will consider to come back again in the future. "

"The hotel is very clean and rooms were cleaned daily, the staff was tremendously helpful and very friendly. The only issues I had was the pillows are horrible, it’s right on a main access road to the beach so is very loud and it’s open concept so you hear everything in the halls and lobby even on the third floor, the hours are very odd for an adults only as the bar is only open from 11am to midnight and the buffet is not all day. The food however was excellent especially the Italian restaurant! It’s nice and close to the pier to go to Cozumel as well as great shopping and night life! Definetly a pros and cons resort"

"Definitely overrated. Where do I start. 1) Upon arrival, you would think the check in would be much faster. Plenty of employees standing around which could be helping but aren’t. 2) I arrive at my room which has the walk-out pool and literally walked out to an 8 x 8 one foot max pool. Didn’t even connect to the main pool area. 3) On hotels.com it says (2) queen beds and they stated hotels.com doesn’t know anything about their process. After enough going back and forth, they moved us to the furthest area back which had (2) queen and walk-out pool. I shouldn’t have to spend hours of vacation sorting that out 4) we had a big family with us and they made it extremely difficult for us to eat together. I would understand if seating was limited, but the areas were 1/2 empty. You should accommodate your guests when possible and it was always possible but basically refused. 5) We were booked at the older Xcaret hotel area VS newer area. Newer area looked like a ghost town so maybe so overloaded the old side to make it seem fuller. Not sure 6) you don’t even have good beach access Overall, I won’t be going back. We’ve been to many other places with less expensive rooms, better views, better beaches, and better service"
