「We had a lovely stay at Pestana Royal. The food was great, varied and always fresh. The staff were always available and ready to lend a helping hand. Bedroom turn down service was regular and thorough. Would definitely recommend! 」

「Big hotel. Big rooms. Great pools. Modern, with conference style feel. Remarkable buffet, no need to go up the road and pay extra. Chocolate fountain on two nights. No decaff tea - go next door to the cliff after dinner for that. VidaMar suited us as a great base (we didn’t rent a car), we used bus or booked trips. The ‘west’ jeep discovery tour is a must. Plus all the other go-to places. Walk to Camera de Lobos and get the bus back. Madeira exceeded our expectations. 」

「Das Hotel war sehr gut und der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Innenstadt von Funchal ist per Fuß erreichbar. Der Garten und auch das Haus haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Terasse, wie auch die Inneneinrichtung sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal an der Rezeption und der Zimmerservice waren super nett! Im Restaurant war das leider nicht der Fall.
