「The room was clean and the balcony to the back overlooking a stream and greenery was beautiful. I just thought it was a tad overpriced at £91 without breakfast or dinner included. That said - it's not too far from the town centre (5 - 10 minute walk), nor the train station (15 min walk or so). The free parking is useful; however, it's one of those horrible put-your-number-plate in. The bar is small for a pub of its size, which doubles up as a reception at certain times, meaning you have to...

「This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees.」

「This was one of the prettiest places we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was delicious and personalised, wonderfully renovated pub and hotel rooms. Staff were really friendly and great pub to enjoy a drink or eat in. Comfortable, quiet and extremely relaxing with added bonus of bath and sash windows which opened to look out at the front of the property. PERFECT!!」
