Utterly clean, great food, cold drinks, very very cheap, free kayaks and paddle boards, good shower, friendly dogs, interesting wildlife, really friendly staff, loads of interesting places to sit and lay down in the communal area, can walk quite far out into the Indian ocean when the tide is out and it faces west so the view of the sun setting each evening is spectacular. I'll give it a 14 out of 10!!! "

"Hemos estado muy agusto en el hotel Amani, un lugar tranquilo, acogedor y familiar. Ana nos ha tratado muy bien, los empleados simpáticos, los desayunos excelentes. El lugar está en segunda línea de playa. Hay contraste entre las primeras líneas de playa para turismo y lujo y luego con el resto de las viviendas de la gente que vive allí, pero es un lugar seguro y no hay problemas en la zona. "I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Aya Beach is a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. I was only able to stay for 2 nights on a solo trip, but will try and return with family for a longer stay. The room was excellent and well maintained, with a comfortable bed. The shower had good water pressure and warmed very quickly. The service was excellent as well, with friendly and attentive staff at reception, restaurant and bar. I really appreciated the beachfront gym facility and the pool was perfect for cooling off. The stairs down to the beach were very handy as well. Highly recommended. "

"As good as it gets! Such a fabulous hotel. Run by a group of dynamic young people who really have their local community at heart. Located right by kitesurfers paradise beach with a restaurant that leaves nothing to be desired. Very safe and pleasant for solo female travellers. The team are so lovely, I want to specifically mention Rose and Happy! Will come back soon!"

"This is an amazing property to stay in Zanzibar. We were upgraded to the frangipani villa which was spacious and well appointed. The private pool was great. The main swimming pool is huge and doesn’t get too crowded. The food options at the main dining room were good with a lot of vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. Beverage options are nice and reasonably priced. The complimentary fruits at mid morning and ice cream at mid afternoon around the pool area are a great touch. The staff is polite and extremely helpful. We had to see the onsite doctor as one of us wasn’t feeling too well one day. The staff promptly arranged for the doctor to arrive who was extremely helpful and thoughtful in his advice which we highly appreciated. The doctor didn’t charge us for his visit and medication even when we asked if he was sure. As has been discussed previously in other reviews, most beaches in Zanzibar have big tidal ranges and at low tide, the sea retreats by a lot. We didn’t swim on the beach for that reason and there’s also a lot of sea weed that the staff tries to clean every day. Nevertheless, the main and private swimming pools more than made up for it. There are a lot of monkeys around the resort and the staff warn you at the outset to keep the doors closed. It is advice that must be heeded to. The resort is family friendly. That’s great if you have kids of your own but if you don’t, it can feel a bit like school nursery during breakfast / dinner time. "

"Great property. Loved the stay here. Advised us of the local rules and things to pay attention to. I enjoyed the beachfront and the ability to lounge basically on the beach. The resturant had good options and get fresh juice. Only drawback was the wi-fi strength and stability inside the room, it kept cutting in and out. Also there was a limit to the amount of devices that would be connected with the code given. Overall, would definetly recommend staying here. "

The rooms were spotless and clearly well-maintained; the staff does an exceptional job keeping everything clean and comfortable. Service was excellent—everyone was warm, attentive, and eager to make our stay enjoyable. The food was delicious, and we especially loved the fresh juices—they were refreshing and full of flavor. Overall, we highly recommend the Bamboo Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by beautiful waters and top-notch service."

"Me and my girlfriend spent time in Zanzibar to celebrate our birthdays. I found Samawa Living as I looking for a nice Place to stay for the week. Booking our room was straightforward and they even supporting with transportation from the Airport and back, which will cost a fee since it is an hour away. Upon checking we were greeted by the host that evening and shown our beautiful room. Also the food was amazing as well. Please not that this a Muslim country for the most part and the don't eat pork. Which was fine but please make sure you try the Beef Bacon. Lastly I would recommend taking advantage of the amenities. my lady and I got a massage that was so amazing and I also spent time in the mini Gym getting some workouts in as well the ice bath. Overall we had a wonderful stay."
