"Staff did not clean room properly, no replacement of lotion and empty bottles. Small rooms. The dark shades were not very dark. Greta view though. The staff here is arrogant and rude overall. The onsen is really nice upstairs. The buffet is terrible. They serve same food they did for dinner next day for lunch. Overall it’s an expensive hotel and supposed to be five stars but it felt more like 3 stars. I wouldn’t recommend, not worth the value. "

"It’s a beautiful property in a great location. Staff are very nice. I have a couple complaints, which is why I tagged it as low as I did. 1. They provide two small bottles of water. To get more I had to call room service and pay for them. I’ve stayed at many hotels in Japan for a third the price that provide as much water as you need. 2. Same thing with coffee. They provide the minimum amount. 3. The restaurants are horrendously expensive. The sushi place had really good reviews but a very limited menu. It was just OK. Nothing special. 4. Oh yes, and at check-in. Which begins promptly at three. There’s a big line up. Don’t try to check in early at Hotel Nikko…At least not if you’re just a typical guest. Perhaps they have a special service for VIPs I don’t know. Overall, it feels like a place where the accountants are in charge. I won’t hurry back. They’re stingy. And the staff, friendly as they are don’t seem particularly well treated. I think upper management could do a better job. You’re in the hospitality, business folks, act like it."

"great location; excellent wifi; attentive staff and excellent customer care; the reason for not getting 5 stars are the lack of aircon control and the room we stayed in was hot despite the winter weather. The management provided a small electric fan to appease us. The size of the room is not ideal for couples. "

"The room was clean, WiFi was good. Air conditioning acted strange. Sometimes too warm. "

"My room was supposed to be 25sqm but didn't feel like it was that big, and definitely did not look like in the photos. Also, housekeeping just dumped our pajamas on the bed in a pile, never bothered to fold or hang them up. On my first day, I had actually already folded up our PJs neatly and left on the bed, when I came back they were jumbled together in a mess. I've honestly never encountered such housekeeping before. Also, hotel is not as close to the JR station as everybody else claims. It is actually a building behind the Yodabashi shopping center, which is across the road from the JR station. Walking on the Linkway took 10min, not 5min, with a very young child, took us 15min each way every day. The airport limo bus stops at the hotel during certain hours when you are arriving from the airport. But to depart to the airport, you will have to board from a different station which is 5minutes walk away."

"A very comfortable condo style stay at the RISE Osaka Bayside. The suite is so modern and the check-in and check-out processes were a breeze. Their breakfast is also top notch, even their boxed breakfast for early goers/risers was very delicious! Highly recommend also if your stay in Osaka includes a visit to the Universal Studio as the hotel is just one train station away from USJ and is also a walkable distance to it."
