Natural beauty of this property is impressive. Here are details I wish I had known before arrival. BTW, I have traveled to many islands; understand challenges of supply chain and maintenance on an island.
Property is spacious, lots of room, could easily have 10 people here. Having two villas was convenient and allowed everyone plenty of space. Location is excellent. Middle of Eleuthera, easy access north or south, Governors Harbor is 10 minutes by car, and a few good/great restaurants closer.
Beach is spectacular! Pink sand, no rocks, no seaweed while we were there, almost no trash, plenty of space to stroll up and down the beach. The bottom is sandy and clean in the water, with a significant drop-off not far out. I saw rays, small sharks, and other fish. The kitchens are very well equipped, best I’ve ever seen in a rental. Caretaker comes daily to keep the grounds, pool, and beach tidy.
The surprises… Property showing signs of wear. The plaster on the pool walls and bottom needs to be rehabbed; it is borderline dangerous, in my opinion. The pool waterfall was not functional until day 3 of our stay. Water pressure in one bathroom very low, almost unusable. About half of all recreational equipment is broken and unusable. This was particularly frustrating as I inquired ahead of time and was told all was good. Seemed like about half the linens and bath towels were stained.
Despite those details, we had a terrific stay and you will too.
