"This is a very well equipped holiday home, with everything you could possibly need. It’s situated in a small, quiet village so would suit people seeking peace and quiet. The situation is very convenient for trips to the Lake District and for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. We loved it."

"The cottage was part of a large former hotel and it has been converted very sympathetically. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable - we had a lot of space for the two of us (and the dog!) One of my favourite things was the picture window in the lounge, with beautiful views across the countryside down to the lake. The beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet. We did have a couple of issues with the boiler going off and the kettle not working but these were dealt with quickly....

"Superb holiday home with virtually everything you need. The layout is great and our toddler enjoyed playing in the large lounge and dining area where we could keep an eye on her through the glass windows in the downstairs doors. We appreciated the books for babies and young children and lake district guides for adults. The welcome goodies were a nice touch. "We spent Halloween 2024 at Whitehall Pele tower to celebrate our paranormal teams (S.P.I.R.I.T UK-Solway Paranormal) 10th anniversary. Every year we spend our anniversary night in an historically rich location and Whitehall, with its history and its mention in several local legends was perfect. Very spacious, modern, yet still holding onto its old world atmosphere. Its just a shame we only stayed for the one night as it would take several to take in everything this beautiful place has to offer....
