“Incredible stay at The Saddle Rooms. Easy check in with very helpful staff. Treated to a lovely twin room named 'The Pretender ' (all rooms named after famous racehorses) with my son. Attention to detail wonderful. Amazing large bathroom with true waterfall shower. Comfortable beds and air conditioning/systems that actually worked. We had dinner which was worth every penny. Breakfast was delicious and wonderful too. Gorgeous setting - stone built properties. Courtyard. Grounds……

“What an amazing find. The property is in peaceful surroundings & totally fascinating, very unique, so special, the interior is incredible and totally compliments the era of this beautiful property. Karen the host is bubbly and friendly, we had a very welcome cup of tea and shortbread on arrival, served in the lounge. Our room was peaceful, with sumptuous bedding, quality furniture, tv, tea/coffee facilities, powerful shower - all you need. Slept like a log. Our delicious breakfast was served……

“We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean, the breakfast made to your order with additional cereal and juice available. The staff were very friendly and concerned about our needs. Car parking was provided at the back. The location was within walking distance from the town centre pubs and restaurant as well as next to a big Tesco. Perhaps the TV was a tad small. ”

“The bedroom & en suite were very tastefully decorated, with the decor exactly to our taste! The Bella Rose coffee shop was used throughout our stay & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. The 15% discount was used each time we ate there which was a bonus as thought it might be a one-off. Peasholm Park on the doorstep was a huge plus too! My only criticism of our stay was that I made the owners aware that I was allergic to fur & feathers beforehand & I particularly queried any cushions……

“Booked for a wedding but on the morning of the wedding there was no hot water to get a shave or shower but what made it worse was that there was no communication from the staff and no apology offered or compensation from management”
