The staff at the resortamazing !! It was a birthday trip and I have never had such an amazing birthday from singing to decorating my room and the attention to detail was excellent! The steakhouse was our favorite steak lobster and shrimp. Also some our group went fishing and they cooked our catch at the steakhouse restaurant on property and it was superb ! The doorman Francisco was or favorite employee there however they were so many awesome employees!

Overall RIU staff provided excellent services. We stayed at the palace and felt that we should have the option of having dinner at other RIU locations, in the area. Additionally, natural cleaning product should be used in hotel lobby as there was a strong chemical smell.

Our stay at Riu Palace Mexico was truly exceptional, and the biggest reason was the outstanding staff and customer service throughout the resort.
From the moment we arrived, every team member was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. The front desk staff made check-in smooth and stress-free, always ready to help with a smile. Housekeeping was impeccable—our room was spotless every day, and small thoughtful touches made us feel truly cared for.
The restaurant and bar staff deserve special recognition. They were professional, friendly, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied. Whether it was remembering our preferences, offering recommendations, or simply making us feel valued, their dedication truly stood out.
What impressed us most was how authentic and personal the service felt. The staff didn’t just do their jobs—they made us feel like guests, not just tourists. That level of hospitality is rare and made our stay memorable.

Property could have more beer options like Modelo or Pacifico. These beers are at almost every party in the USA so was odd they did not have.
My husband was hoping to have more authentic Mexican options for breakfast.
The staff was amazing and the property is always beautiful and nice. We will go back to this property it is very nice.

We just stayed 7 days at the Palace Mexico. About halfway through I started looking for things I would consider negative. I sincerely have nothing negative to say. The resort is clean, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The beach is perfect and the buffets are varied and tasty. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a good size. We look forward to returning.

We booked a king size bed with reservations well in advance and we got a room with 2twin size beds pushed together. Who sleeps in the crack? Looks like the strike plate on the door was recently replaced and had to be adjusted a bit because part of the wood on the door trim was broken and missing.. obviously this room was broken into to and the hotel was too cheap to replace the door and surrounding trim. Made us feel all warm and cozy for our 7 night stay. Locking the deadbolt was tricky and we had to lift and move the door to one side to get it to lock. Hotel was full and no changes could be made. The toilet area was separate and smaller than bathroom on a plane. Even my wife who is petite almost hit her knees on the door while sitting on the toilet. It’s that small and tight.. and everything is old. Rooms very outdated. Opening and closing patio door is also a treat.. screen ripped and door is warped. We will not stay there again. Staff was friendly and food was good. Beach was nice. Otherwise this would be 1 star rating at best.
