Friendly stuff. Clean pool and beach. We stayed in the building where monkeys were treated or vaccinated the on roof. Highly respect the resort’s effort to take care of the animals but the stuff was very load every morning. It sounds like Armageddon at 7am on the roof.

Location was good with access to the beach and employees with a good customer service approach. Room was outdated, it has a door between rooms and main door with locks in very bad conditions.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Iberostar Tucan, but there are a few things to be aware of. The rooms are quite outdated — some of the light fixtures didn’t work, and there were very few power outlets, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything was great: the territory is well-maintained, and the overall experience was positive.

The property was really nice and clean. The pool was huge, it was beautiful but, its really deep... theres only 2 shallow areas with no shade and with young kids that cant swim it was always panic mode if we saw them walking towards the deep end. Other than the breakfast buffet, the buffets at this resort weren't the best. The only place we found where the food was ok was the Smoke house, the Italian restaurant and the kids would enjoy the burgers and fries by the beach. Definitely not a five star for food or hotel rooms. The rooms are really outdated. Being from Canada, alot of other South American guests would stare at us when we would talk to each other in english. They were not friendly at all. Also, beware that when you check in they are so friendly because they want you to join the Iberostar premium club. They waste 2 hours of your time the following day with presentations and then when you say no your not interested in joining .... there not the friendliest after that. We were dealing with Luis... and the next evening when I saw him in the lobby he turned his face and ignored me.

Beautiful, great food, poor sun bed availability

Food was amazing, the choice of restaurants is fantastic, such variety. Resort with the jungle in the middle was great, we had peacocks walking around us on the beach and at the pool! It’s a beautiful place. Rooms are nice, balconies shaded but slightly dated. Staff are cleaning, painting and gardening all the time keeping the resort at its best. Only let downs were the sun beds are all reserved very early and the staff accept money to reserve them for you. The people next to us one day paid $100 to reserve for 2 weeks. It’s poor. Also, the resort ‘credit’ you receive is actually 25% discount when you spend $100! No kids entertainment in the nights and some things are payable. We would recommend but wouldn’t return due to the sun beds.

Everything was great. When we first arrived it was still early before check in, but we were able eat at the buffet and then continue check in afterwards. This was definitely helpful after a long trip. The whole staff was friendly. It is a smaller hotel which I loved because I could easily get from one place to another without a huge walk. Be ready to encounter many animals and hear them at night.

The resort and the service was very good. The animals in a natural environment were a pleasure to watch. Always somewhere to sit around the pool. The only downside was the loud music from the resort itself and the neighbouring resort until 11:00 pm most nights was a turnoff!
