Cozy home, sketchy neighborhood!

The home was great! Very well maintained and comfortable inside. Plenty of parking for boat/jetskis or additional vehicles outside. However we will not be returning to this property due to the surrounding neighborhood… lock up everything, including the door after you enter the home. We booked this home for 3 nights and stayed 1 night then decided to vacate the property due to the neighborhood and activities we observed. We felt ourselves and our property to be unsafe… Cozy cottage in the slums of port st.joe

I saw other reviews about the neighborhood being sketchy, and we had a few people walking in the yard, and driving across the grass, no one bothered us, however the gas grill had been taken by someone, but I let that be known the first day. The home was very clean, it was set up very nice when we arrived and you could feel vacation at this home. It had everything we needed. We did take laundry detergent, it is not supplied. I was not expecting it to be though, as no one supplies that. We took our own shampoo, body wash etc. They did have those items provided. This home was so nice inside, I don't think I have rented a home so well cleaned anywhere. So even though the neighborhood seemed sketchy, just know we had a wonderful time with a family of 5 and no one bothered us while we were there. It was a great place to stay!

Cozy coastal cottage

The house was very clean and everything was wonderful. I saw where someone said the neighborhood was sketchy. No one bothered us, people did drive behind the house, and some people would walk in the yard, yet everything was great inside the home. We did have a problem with the gas grill being missing, but we rearranged our plans and cooked inside. The house was very accommodating for my family. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We were in town for a family reunion, and the location of the cottage couldn’t have been more perfect.
