“My wife and I recently stayed at The Lantern in Columbia, SC, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the convenient valet service to the comfortable room and excellent location, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived late Thursday afternoon and were able to pull directly up to valet parking. The service was especially convenient, with a text allowing us to track our vehicle and conveniently provide a tip. Check-in was equally seamless and took only a few minutes. Our room was……

“Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is clean. ”

“The hotel was clean, the room was spacious. The beds were a little too firm for me with chronic pain issues but fine for one night. The mini fridge didn't get very cold even though turned up all the way. The ice bucket leaked by nature of design as the ice melted, no liner was provided so I washed it in the sink before use. Didn't eat the breakfast so I can't comment on that. The area didn't look nice but the hotel was nice”

“The water of swimming pool looks like no clean”

“The hotel needs some serious maintenance. The carpet was dirty, the ceiling was covered in water stains, and there was an unpleasant smell in the room. The quality of service really depends on who is working. The woman at the front desk during the night was rude and impatient, while the woman working in the morning was very pleasant and helpful. On the positive side, the bed linens were clean and the breakfast was decent.”
