The hotel is very old and outdated and the wifi does not work. We were able to check in late and the room was clean but I would not stay there again for that price. 「A lovely hotel in the city centre. I had a refurbished room which was very comfortable with modern decor and feel. Breakfast was plentiful but could have been varied a bit from day to day. I enjoyed using the pool but the sun umbrellas were not in use as I was told they had previously blown over in the wind. I couldn’t help but notice that other places in Funchal (bars etc) had similar umbrellas and used well designed sand bags to ensure they didn’t tip over. Maybe a something the hotel can look...

「A very good hotel with an excellent breakfast and great amenities. The room we stayed in—located on the floor 0 felt a bit dated; upon entering, there was a noticeable stale odor. In the evenings, there is wonderful live music in the bar and a very pleasant atmosphere. It is an adults-only hotel, though I would say its 55+. I recommend it for a peaceful, relaxing getaway!」
