“This property in and of itself was fine. Way too many steps and no possibility to be dropped of with luggage at the front door, but it was clean, in a perfect location and great for a solo Traveler or a couple who just needs a bed to sleep on. My 1st issue was with check in. Despite sending a message that I was 20 minutes away from the office I needed to get the keys from, and receiving a confirmatiin reply, no one was there when I arrived and the sign on the door said it was closed. “A lovely retreat overlooking the Douro, only 11 bedrooms so it’s very quiet and relaxing. Everything about the property is perfect, clean, fabulous staff and a wonderful breakfast with loads of choices. Tucked away but a short and cheap Uber or Bolt ride into the city centre or to the beaches.”

“Daniela at reception was very pleasant and helpful. Cleaning staff were kind as well. This hotel was super charming and full of character. Our garden view room was lovely, including a private sunny balcony to sit on. Bedroom was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very clean (loved the water pressure and rainfall shower). Comfortably air conditioned. Property itself was not in a busy district but close enough to walk to bakeries and restaurants or a quick bolt ride to any……
