“Though the room was small, it was very comfortable and clean. The quality of the bedding, towels and toiletries was terrific. The breakfasts were generous and very good with excellent variety. The location was convenient to all of the action in the center of town but still in a quiet enclave. And it is also close to the ferry. Michael, the host (owner?) was so very gracious. He was very helpful in pointing us to nice restaurants. And as it was raining on the day I left, he sent me home with one……

“Right on Commercial Street. Even the beach is just a short walk away. Restaurant variety is great. Coming from the ferry it is a quick 5-minute walk.
The building is old but kept in good shape.

"AVOID THIS HOTEL
One of the towels provided had a brown stain that was extremely ugly (doubt it may be undesirable marks, with a bad smell). What's worse is that I discovered it after shower when I was using it. This was unacceptable, especially for an esteemed vacation house like this.
When I reported the issue to the front desk during check out, I received no apology and was told that no compensation could be offered because the booking was made through a third party (on Expedia), and the front desk could do nothing about it. He said he would report to the manager, and I received no follow-up. I find this response both unprofessional and disappointing. I also wrote an email to the management team and received no response. The general experience was unpleasant. I hope I can receive proper settlement from the hotel management team."
