"We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Check in and parking was easy. We were in room 2113, it was next to the elevators. We loved the location but it was noisy. The floor in the room was slanted. Can’t say I have ever experienced this before. We thought we were crazy but put a can of hairspray on the floor and it proved us right quickly rolling to the lower side. Beds were comfortable but also on a slant. My daughter slept with her head and the foot of the bed because of it. The shower was nice. There was stuff left in our refrigerator from a previous guest as well as hair on the bathroom counter. Th ere are 3 restaurants in the hotel but nothing is open for lunch. Was kind of disappointing. The Arc bar was very kind and did a great job helping with our food allergies. Above and beyond. Overall a great location and nice stay."

Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk

"Lady at front desk was awesome. For a hotel so expensive, I would have expected the room not to be so dimly lit. However, the bathroom was well lit and had excellent water pressure. I was torqued about the $30 destination fee that Sheraton so graciously didn't tell us about we until we checked in. Then we got to pay another $5 in state and city taxes incurred by this charge."

"The hotel shows signs of neglect; threadbare carpets in the stairs and in the lobby. Minor painting and cosmetic repairs would go a long way. Our towel hook, for example, was falling out of the wall. Dark brown paint with white beneath shows mars and scratches very easily. Check in staff was disinterested, sighing and obviously put out by having to do his job. Quite a contrast to the two gentlemen who greeted us as we got off of the elevator to arrive; so bubbly and inviting."

"At check-in, I asked if there were any upgrades available and the gentleman told me that he could do better than our original reservation. However, we were very disappointed when we were greeted with a very small room and the tiniest bathroom I have ever seen! It makes me wonder what the original room would have been. At check-out, we were disappointed because the clerk could not assign us Hilton Honor Points to us even though my husband is a HH member but I made the reservation and I am not a HH member. Really!?! Not an example of friendly service!"

"I chose a King size bed but upon arrival they said sorry we only have 2 doubles. They would not accommodate my original reservation. The omelettes station was very well run. We were on the 3rd floor facing State St & the noise level was off the charts. We were there Sat & Sun evening. It was the first warm weather & without rain for these people living in Chicago so that might be part of the reason. Fire trucks, ambulances, & cop car sirens every hour all night!"
