“Excellent hotel! Seems to be a 2-generation family-run establishment. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! They definitely made me feel highly welcomed! The hotel was very cozy and the room was of good size and had a charming feel. Comfortable bed and nice, clean bathroom. Excellent lighting options in the room. The neighborhood seemed very safe. “Lovely pub but incredibly busy so there were long waits for drinks and food Stay slightly marred by very noisy drinkers right outside our room until 00.50hrs Great area to stay for Bath Racecourse and visiting the white horse”

All fixtures and fittings in the room were top quality and imacculately installed. Excellent breakfast. To nit- pic, the toilet was set too high off the floor. One less robust pillow would have been nice. There seemed to be no lighting to the front of the building, maklng it difficult to locate in the dark. I would definitely stay again.”

“Lovely hotel the only downside which I had not realised was breakfast started at 8 and we needed to leave at 730. The staff were lovely and provided us with cereal and milk the night before. We eat in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and the food was excellent.”

Room was a little small but contained everything we needed and was very comfortable. We ate here on both nights of our stay and the food was great. Breakfast was also lovely. “This was an old building, and we expected it to have a few cobwebs, and yet there were none. restaurant staff were great and very obliging, especially on the day we overslept breakfast. The manager could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was spectacularly overwhelming, and the bar, given it was a bit small, managed still to be friendly, warm and inviting. We booked this hotel as a previous hotel mis-booked us, the George and Pilgrims was a serendipitous find”
