“What a wonderful stop on our trip! The property was beautiful and Edele and Alessio were so attentive to our needs. We had a seven course tasting menu and breakfast prepared by Sonia Russell and Louise Hynes. The food at both meals was so delicious and there was so much attention to detail. One dish, the pea and mint soup, brought tears to my wife’s eyes. The house and rooms were beautifully decorated and we were very comfortable. We cannot say enough about The Blackwell House. “A nice Hotel with helpful and friendly staff, the room was big and set up well, receptionist made you feel welcome from when you take the first step in to when you are checking out. The bar and dinning room/restaurant was decorated well good try on the menu helpful waiters/ bar men ”

“Great place for a relaxing getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of city life - this is a real working farm and we enjoyed seeing horses, cows and lambs! I'd booked a wheelchair-accessible room and we actually received an entire suite with very easy access and gorgeous views. The proprietors even brought us breakfast right to our room and were extremely helpful and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! ”

“We had a lovely family break from the norm. Rooms comfy and clean. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. The only improvement that could have been made, was the view from the room windows. To be honest though, it was not a big thing; taking the overall experience into consideration. ”

My only issue was dining room staff took our order for tea / coffee informed us to use self service but we were not made aware in time that we would have to pre order fried/poached eggs , by the time our eggs were served we had almost finished eating our fried food which was by now cold. We had mot looked at menu as we went instead to use the self service . Clear communication would have prevented this occurring.”
