I like this resort, all would give it 5 stars, but not the sales staff at check-out. Overall, the experience was very good. From front desk service, restaurants to room services. However, one experience significantly affected our impression. We joined Tour, where the sales team introduced the resort membership. I understand this is part of their job, and although it took up half a day, we were respectful and understanding. At the end of the tour, we bought one $299 discounted future-stay voucher. The staff repeatedly tried to persuade us to buy two, suggesting we give one to family or friends. We politely declined, saying we wanted to try it first. What made us uncomfortable was that we were repeatedly asked, “Don’t you have family and friends?” This question felt inappropriate and created unnecessary pressure. Unfortunately, the same situation happened again at checkout. After confirming our room number and asking about our stay, another salesperson again pushed another $299 membership for family, and repeated the same question: “you don’t have family and friends?”This left me very uncomfortable, what’s the answer for this question? especially at checkout, which should be a positive final moment of the stay. I understand sales goals and respect the effort of the staff, but this approach—especially using personal questions to pressure guests—was unpleasant. The aggressive sales behavior at checkout significantly lowered our overall impression of an otherwise excellent hotel.

Resort is so big, shuttle carts were not so convenient. Only one Italian restaurant food was good. Most restaurants food not meet standards. Specially the MOMO Teppanyaki, hardest to make reservation, the food was cold and all small portions - a half bowl fired rice with 6 pieces beef cubes. The marking signed us for a new facility presentation for 1.5 hour, but it took about 2.5 hours, spending half day to push to buy their membership.

We negotiated a room upgrade from Garden View to Sea Facing using credits from the membership presentation. The process was handled poorly by staff: Lack of Communication: They wouldn't tell us where the new room would be, and it wasn't assigned until the next day. Inconvenient Location: Our first room was perfectly located near the lobby, pool, and front desk. This "upgraded" room is much further away, a detail the front desk completely ignored. We were so tired of moving that we didn't want to change again, but the distance is a daily annoyance. Poor Bed Quality: The room came with a King and temporary beds. For anyone with any height, these temporary beds are way too small and uncomfortable.

This was an amazing overall experience at Moon Palace. It was great to be able to let our teenagers roam around between the resorts without worrying. Please be careful as this resort is full of rude staff andr hey will tell you one thing and do another. Nobody cares about your service even if you try to reach out floor manager or supervisor. Everyday was new stress. I would not recommend it at all.

We had ants swarming food items in our room twice on a 6 day trip. These had only sat out for a few minutes before we were going to begin eating and the ants ruined them. Our TV also wouldn’t screen mirror or connect to the internet. Maintenance came to try and get behind some password protected settings menus, but couldn’t figure it out and told me they were forwarding it to their IT team. That was on day 2 and we never heard anything else about the TV. Had to watch our show on an iPad propped up in the bed in the evenings. AC wouldn’t get very cold. I had it set to 65 but it said the temp was about 72 the whole time. Woke up sweating most mornings. Most of the pools weren’t heated either which left them freezing cold until late in the afternoon, even when it was 80 degrees starting at 10am.

This is my scond time to go to Moon palace Cancun, in general I really like the resort, friendly staff & swimming pools. I tried both Sunrise & Nizuc for stay both are beautiful & clean. If you will ask me which one I will choose between the two, Sunrise is better pools & resturants & newer facilities. The 3 hotels in this resorts are great. Kids & adults will Love the place.

We stayed at The Grand and then Nizuc. There is absolutely no comparison between the two. We would never stay at Nizuc again. The service and staff were great. But early in the morning the outside smelled like urine, obviously from the spring breakers staying there. The rooms are so small compared to The Grand. We will never book Nizuc again.

The hotel facilities are in excellent condition. The cleanliness and the food are among the best I’ve experienced at an all-inclusive resort. They have several beautiful pools, each offering different activities, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The beach is not the best—in fact, it’s quite disappointing—but it’s made up for by how beautiful the hotel itself is.
