Great experience overall, very clean and conveniently located across from Las Isla Mall. The family room was our favorite thing (2 bathrooms). Food was good, but could have better snack options. The process to book thematic restaurants was a letdown, the current process is to line up daily for over an hour, no thanks. Entertainment was fair, no theater for night shows. I rate it as a good experience for a regular family vacation, nothing fancy but worth the price you pay. Staff was very friendly and ready to assist with anything!

The room was huge. We had a family room with two rooms, two full beds and a pocket bed, and two bathrooms. It could have used fans in the bathroom; the vents were there but no fan. The food at the buffet was varied and quite good. Most of the serving staff were friendly and fun. Trying to get reservations at the three restaurants was a learning experience. They had an app which, it turned out, didn’t work for reservations. But they didn’t tell us that. We found out through trial and error that you had to line up at 4pm and then reservations were first come first served. We had the opportunity to try one restaurant and waited an hour for small portioned mediocre food. Not worth the effort. The entertainment was not the best. No actual theatre, so shows were outside or in the lobby, started very late for kids and were not very good. Games during the day were cute but nothing to get excited about. It could have used a games room or some other activities besides pool and beach. They do have a gym with steam, sauna, and shower which was nice. The beach was incredible! The pool was fun especially the swim up bar. Definitely a relaxing nice place to stay.

The rooms were okay, but there was a smell in the washroom, and basic items weren't included, despite being requested from the front desk. The air conditioner was not as great either, and it was hot. The rooms were okay, but there was a constant smell in the washroom, and some basic items weren’t provided even after asking the front desk several times. The air conditioner also didn’t work well, and the room was uncomfortably hot. The worst part was the scammy “membership.” The staff pushes and practically forces you to buy an overpriced membership in exchange for a $30 discount and promises of huge savings on excursions like Chichén Itzá and other tours in Mexico. In reality, those “discounted” prices were 2–3 times more expensive than what we found elsewhere, and the membership presentation was just a useless 3–4 hour lecture. I also want to mention that Hernan, one of the managers, was very rude and did not pay us the full amount we were promised after attending the membership lecture. Overall, I would not recommend staying here or getting involved in their membership program – it’s a waste of time, and they put a lot of pressure on you to buy it.

I gave 1 star due to receptionist staff and manager making disappointed on first day arriving and ruined all our vacation. I booked park royal beach Cancun on Expedia and Expedia app child age is 0 to 17. So my older kid is only 13 years old, so I booked with 3 adults and one child. The last minute my another son wants to go with us then no time to change our reservation on Expedia. When we arrived on hotel and we provided everyone passport and the staff told that they count over 12 years old with adult price and added the charge $149 per day in same room. I keep trying to explain that we booked Expedia with child limit was 0 to 17 years old. Manager guy told me that this is their hotel rule, so no adjustment for my kids for child fee and only extra charge for adult fee for my 13 years old kid. My question if if they can’t clearly with third party like Expedia or booking , the customer doesn’t know and booked. Then we knew about the child limit is 0 to 12 years and too late to cancel and book another more suitable price other hotel. If we didn’t pay for extra charge child with adult fee, we do not have room key and nobody care the customers to making satisfaction. It was really disappointed. I planed my trip for 5 months ago , I knew about it when we arrived to hotel and no more choice other plan. If I knew about it, I will be cancelled before my trip and booked another hotel with more reasonable price. Now ruin my entire trip and pay extra charge +$900 for 6 days stay .
