Munster Centennial Park Hotels

"The property is located within a short walk to the Magnificent Mile, restaurants, the north side of the river, Target, AMC theaters, Walgreens, Northwestern Medicine and the bus line. They have figured out convenience. The property was as beautiful as it was immaculate. The rooms were spacious with a fantastic shower and amazing shampoo, conditioner and lotion! I’ve even looked into buying it for my home. The breakfast buffet was unbelievable! The food was plentiful with more options than I thought possible. Even more impressive was the breakfast staff who kept the tables clean and the food available, hot and fresh. The hosts took a special interest in knowing the guests, and I know this first hand. My birthday fell during our stay, and the breakfast staff had a table waiting for my family and presented a birthday brownie with the words “Happy Birthday” written in chocolate sauce! Unfortunately, I had unexpectedly been hospitalized for emergency surgery so I missed the opportunity to experience their grand gesture, but the first morning I walked into breakfast after being discharged from the hospital, the host having never see me, asked if my family had given me the brownie. l was blown away! Will I stay again? Without any hesitation!!! Excellent choice!! "

"Spent three nights with husband and teenage son over spring break. Young man who checked us in was not friendly, did not mention happy hour, or breakfast. He did not give us any information except room number. Breakfast staff was nice and polite. Recommend getting to breakfast early or there will be no seats available. Rooms were nice. Bed and bedding was wonderful. Water pressure in shower was amazing. Wish bathroom had exhaust vent. Location was very walkable. A lot of restaurants and stores close. Would highly recommend for families as my son was able to have his own space in suite. Would stay again. One more thing…parking was $80. But that was because of 3 different taxes the city imposed. "

"Hotel was in a great location and staff were nice. Nor many amenities were offered though. They had no bottled water to buy, no area to buy snacks or items you might need (ibuprofen, toothbrush, tampons). Rooms were clean but art decor was cheap and tacky. No decaf coffee in the rooms, no guide on the tv remotes. "

"It’s an old hotel. It needs a quality paint job and new carpets in the hallways among many other things. But the lake view rooms makes up for a lot of what’s missing."

"The property was well kept and in a good location. My experience with a few different front desk staff was a little disappointing. They had little customer service skills when lines were long and no valet attendee working. They were short with customers and at time very rude. I called ahead to have my car pulled around and was told 10 minutes. I waited and proceeded to valet. After waiting an additional 15 minutes in line, we were told the valet was on break and they didn't know when he would return."

"We had an amazing three days in downtown Chicago and the Palmer House. Hilton was at the center of everything. We got to see Hamilton, which is literally right across the street from the Palmer house and garage parking was conveniently located across the street on Wabash. I booked it through SpotHero, three days ran us about $60. The hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are immaculate. We had a fantastic time. Oh!!! And they have a spa!! Facials were perfection and the pool was refreshing after a long day of walking "
