“We had thought we booked the room shown on the website but that was not what we got. It was very plain, the bathroom needed pairing and no wall pictures or anything and the beds were terrible. Staff tried a little giving us a discount on supper, but hardly making up for our disappointment of looking forward to staying in a Castle environment. Especially with the cost.”

“The outside of hotel is nice and the area. Rooms are big but need to be updated, especially the bed and bathroom, also was no extra toilet paper. Things I did not like, someone knocking at my door at 11pm and running off, when I mention to front desk they were like dont know but they do with people checking in, also got charge extra 25 pounds at check out and they cannot explain why or even respond to me. They put us in a room , right at front of stairs did not like that.”

“First time glamping and wasn’t disappointed at all. POD had everything you need and in immaculate condition and spotless . Hot tub a huge bonus.”

In the summer, you need the windows open to get some fresh air… and that’s the problem. Right below the living room window is smokers’ corner, just down from the pub. You love breathing smokers’ and vapers’ exhaust All the Time? Go for it. The other big problem is the bedroom windows open along the wynd, which sounds quaint, but the drinkers’ turn that corner and spill, in loud……

“The accommodation was good in a peaceful and beautiful setting. It was ideally situated for sightseeing in the area.We would recommend and return.”

“Lovely peaceful and private location, generous living room, which was brilliant as we had several visitors. Lovely waking up to see the horses in the fields, and a real treat to get closer to these beautiful animals when they came into the stables. Dog walk very securely fenced, lots of interest for the dog and a decent distance for them to run and explore. Top attitude from the owners, the whole property, including the farm, was genuinely dog friendly and not just dog tolerant. Our single……
