“Staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was a little tired. A big car park for about 14 cars was a big plus. The road system is a little complicated and busy, so advanced planning how to access the car park is recommended. The full English Breakfast was provided bang on time and was adequate. I would suggest that they introduce cornflakes, marmalade and any fresh fruit or yoghurts. We also had to ask for second cups of coffee/tea.”

It was a little dark in our room due to the trees outside and lighting configuration within the room. It was noticeably warmer on the second floor than the first or ground floor and, as lacking air conditioning, may become very hot in warmer temperatures. “We stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginny’s communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didn’t think would come in time (although it did in the end). The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. ”

“Loved this place and the people. It is a little far from main attractions, Salisbury and Stonehenge. About 10-15 miles. But it is so charming. Food is fantastic and building is historic. Be sure to have right converters for plugging things in as there are no USB ports in the rooms. No AC and we arrived during a short heat wave. Bed very comfortable and the soaking tub in the room was great for cooling down.”

“I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting.”

“Parking was only ok because we arrived late in the day on a Saturday and were able to park on the street outside for free. Any other day and I think you’d have to pay to park on the high street. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night so no complaints. Pinos across the road was excellent for dinner. ”
