“The Amigo Motor Lodge is an absolute delight to stay in. Keep in mind: the place is a motor lodge, situated on Hwy 50, so my husband and I were a bit worried that noise might be a problem. Nope! We had a great night's sleep in a modernized, clean, fun room. The brass duck bedside lamps made me giggle as did the retro red refrigerator in the room. Let's put t this way: we transitioned from staying at the Broadmoor to Amigo without a hitch. Bonus: Amigo got my merch money, not the Broadmoor--they……

“Excellent room with friendly staff. Most hotel coffee is pitiful. They had amazing coffee I. The room with a full sized coffee maker! Comfortable bed too!”

“Sweet little motel with beautiful back patio to sit and enjoy. Owners are the nicest and have created a magical welcoming spot.”

“This is an older, but very well taken care of motel. Right downtown and across from the Royal Gorge Railroad. Plenty of stores and restaurants to walk to.”

“The King Cottage is a great place to stay. Would be better if the fence was fixed to make a private yard where dog could roam. Needs a small table and chairs, though. I recommend getting rid of the recliner and putting in a small table with two chairs.”

“The Motel 6 in Cañon City is a great Motel. They greeted me politely and professionally when I checked in. They gave me clear instructions on everything I needed to know. My room was very clean and well maintained. The a/c and heat worked quietly. The bed was comfortable. They were not trying to be a big, fancy Hotel by offering services that I didn’t need or want. They are within walking distance of several good restaurants, City Market, etc. They gave me just what I wanted at a very reasonable……

“The property was recently sold and i feel they were not quite ready for quest .amenities were poor .The room was quiant but there were no hangers or alot of space to put things .This property has great potential. The new owners were working daily on improvements .The closest dining is in salida which is about 15 minutes from the property.”
