「Stayed one night Friday to Saturday last day before the schools break up, so got a very reasonably priced room, which turned out to be a large room on 1st floor with Super King sized bed, so very comfortable stay. :) Ensuite bathroom spacious. Lift available to the first floor. Saw nice looking gym on ground floor and nice lounge area. Can't comment on breakfast as we did not have it.」

「The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog」

「The room was clean,the stairs were difficult for us but we are in our 80s,the pub is located in a quiet area with easy parking ,both nights we were able to park close by.The breakfasts were well presented with generous helpings.」

「The property was not that clean. Cobwebs on most curtains and in other areas. Its sleeps 5 people but only enough crockery for 4 and half of the plates had cracks. ( i do have photos). Over all a disappointment.」

Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. 「We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend! We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on our room and it was beautifully decorated. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there.」
