“What a beautiful and wonderful place to stay. The view is unparalleled and the room, overall, was my favorite of all of the places we stayed on this vacation. I would absolutely stay here again. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was lovely and the shower - perfection. Tea and biscuits every morning and they even gave me extra, when I mentioned how much I liked them. All in all, I loved it. Highly recommend.”

“Cozy rooms, atmospheric decor, friendly staff, and a convenient location just around the corner from Oban Distillery. The on-site beer (and whisky) garden is a great amenity, and bar staff are very knowledgeable about what they’re pouring. ”

“Un accueil chaleureux au pub qui est juste en bas. Une chambre cosy, so British, comme on aime. Une cuisine commune qui permet de faire ses repas, mais également des produits de petits déjeuners que l'on peut acheter à bas prix. Allez manger au pub, l'ambiance est géniale et le personnel très sympathique. La vue sur la mer est un petit plus dans la chambre.”

“Had a great stay. The single bed was very comfy and the bedding was of good quality. The room is compact but very clean. Not having a window did not bother me. It is in a great position right next to train station, the ferry and next door to Wetherspoons Only a couple.of.minor things for me is you only get one towel and you can hear movement above from the restaurant.But apart from that I would recommend these rooms to anyone visiting Oban. ”

“Old hotel and not really clean. Hair on linen. The worst thing is no wifi connection at all because they are fixing it for days. The hotel should inform guests who want to book the hotel in advance rather than saying sorry after we arrived. Really bad experience as we are cheated.”

“The room was clean, the hotel areas were nice but I feel that the staff could have been friendlier. It was kind of an awkward feeling and there wasn’t an enthusiasm to help us find where to go or to accommodate any requests. Hotel is beautiful but a little further out from Oban than the other hotels so walking is doable but challenging with rain. Breakfast was good but a little expensive for what you get. Parking is off site and only a few spots on the front area. Off site parking can be full or……

“The property advertises that there is breakfast but perhaps because it’s October??? There was no breakfast facility available of any kind. And that was made worse by the fact that there were stickers and labels all over the property warning people not to bring any outside food and drink into the hotel! It seems ridiculous for not allowing bringing in an apple, an orange, a bit of instant porridge to save some money while travelling and use some boiling water? That doesn’t feel very welcoming or……

“The room and facilities are old looking and small. Especially for the bathroom. But the beds are clean and tidy and provide car parking. ”

“We could see the sea but also the bin store. We liked the spa bath, but the rooms are in need of some TLC.”
