"The staff are brilliants. We next our bag early with the concierge to explore. The lobby and lifts are clean and modern. The views from the room of the bridge are brilliant. The shower is very dated but is powerful. It is very low however and was at eye level. Was a bit of mould in the corner."

"Went early to drop off my bags but was given complementary early check in which was a nice touch. I was in a different part of the building which was a bit annoying when I wanted to use the pool as this was a different lift. The room (723) was a good size and amenities were as expected. However, it was clearly in need of some maintenance. The air con didn't work and showed an error code. Fortunately I was able to open the windows and it wasn't too hot anyway. I tried to call reception twice to ask for a fix - an afternoon and also an evening with no answer after waiting a long time. I could only assume that the phone was not connecting to reception so I also reported this to housekeeping the following morning. The shower head was ridiculous - spurting water everywhere so I told housekeeping it needed to be descaled pronto! The room was next to the lift shaft so noisy and there was no view but it is what it is. I really liked the pool. The changing rooms aren't very glamourous and there is no way to lock the lockers unless you have your own padlock so don't take anything valuable down there. 20% off in the bar cafe was nice even just for a coffee on my check out day. All in all a reasonable price for a Friday night in summer in London but I'm not sure I would return. It was perfectly adequate for a 1 night stay at a good price though. I also used topcashback. Bed was very comfortable and appreciated the 11am check out so I could swim in the morning."

"This felt more like a proper hotel than a hostel. The location was great, close to the ferry (which is free when you stay there) as well as bus transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was only there for one night so didn’t take advantage of breakfast or bar but it’s something I will consider in future. My room was a nice size with a tub which I love and a view of the water. It’s a great spot if you’re traveling solo very cost effective. Will come back in future"

Limehouse Library Hotel

"Our experience at the Limehouse Library was fantastic. It's even better in person. Each room is designed after a person. We (three women) got the family suite and ours was after a Turkish doctor, Dr. Türkan Saylan. The suite felt like a mini apartment and was spacious, well designed, and overall a fun/quirky place to stay. I'd absolutely book again next time I'm in London. Oh! And all the staff was so helpful and kind. They helped carry our luggage up and down. Wanted to highlight the rooftop terrace as well, a beautiful and private spot to wind down. The security to our area made us feel even better. The only negative things I can think of is the shower set up and the area itself. The "door" of the shower only covers about a third of the tub so after a quick rinse, the floor is soaked. It wasn't a real problem, but definitely worth noting if need be. The area is a little on the fringe but coming from LA, I didn't find it intimidating (for female travelers). Just pay attention to the lifts at the nearby station, sometimes they're "occupied." Had a great time!"
