"Great place to visit, authentically restored castle ran by the descendants of the same family. Owner Francesco and his wife are very friendly, generous and very kind hosts. Even though the castle isn’t in the main traveler’s route, it is most definitely worth taking a detour to stay here!"

"While relatively spartan, Castello di Morcicchia is a superb place to spend time in a serene, peaceful setting in the Umbrian countryside, far from the maddening tourist hordes. The Castle is within easy driving distance of Umbria's most renowned hilltop towns and many smaller ones. There are some very pretty walks into the surrounding forests. And a fantastic terrace at the top of the castle on which to sit in the sun and gaze at the sublime vistas."

"We had a truly great time at this castle. It was everything we had hoped for during our stay. The castle is updated while keeping a lot of it's original charm. Driving to it was so scenic, with tons of green rolling hills to drive through and an olive tree lined path just before you get to the castle. It is not very far from Siena. And the church bells from the clock tower were very relaxing. Highly recommended."
