The pool being open until 11 PM worked out perfectly since our two girls were excited to swim even though we arrived later in the evening. “Booked this hotel for 2 nights after reviewing the 9.0 star reviews, however it was a disappointing stay for us. One of the queen beds had a significantly torn/almost shredded bedsheet that were still placed on the bed as per the standard (there's no way that the ripped portions in the middle of the sheets could have been missed by anyone when they're put on). Good thing was that they promptly offered a clean set when we notified the front desk. Room overall was not cleaned. The bedsheets……

“My husband and I were visiting Plainfield on a business trip and absolutely adored staying at the Plainfield Inn. The location was continently located and we were able to easily walk to all the lovely local restaurants and coffee shops in downtown Plainfield. For such a historic building it is very well maintained, and we enjoyed the updated modern amenities (mini fridge, microwave, and spacious shower). I would highly recommend the inn for your stay in Plainfield!”

“The AC throughout the building appeared to be out, except in the individual rooms. All of the windows were open and fans were running, but there was still a very strong unpleasant odor throughout the hotel that became even worse inside the rooms. It also appeared that several rooms may have had long-term occupants, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. On top of that, both the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance with no known date of opening. Unfortunately, the overall conditions……
