「Not fit for human habitatation. Full of black mold. Some attempted to be wiped away, but thick patches in several rooms. Couldn't stay here with young children. After an hour of ringing around, no other rooms in FW, had to drive 4 hours home, arriving at 1.30am with young children. Host communication poor, sent me to wrong place, neighbours all complaining about this host when I asked directions. Not the important part, but clearly characteristic. 「The accommodation is modernised throughout with quality furnishings, fittings and amenities. Mary greeted us at the door and is very welcoming and friendly. Excellent cooked breakfast and plenty of other choices for breakfast.」

「This was a solid hotel on our way to Isle of Skye. The construction outside wasn't known until after the booking. And while not horrible, they started moving equipment about 45 min before 8am when the work was to start. We knew it would be rustic and it was. No frills but solid hotel. Beds were very hard though.」

「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. 「We really enjoyed our stay at Roslyn House. The room was beautifully furnished and clean. The breakfast goodies provided in the fridge were very generous and good quality.
