“Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge.
Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. ”

“Although it was clean the room that I had this time needed some upgrading, for example there was no toilet roll holder, just holes in the wall where it had been, grout was missing between the bathroom floor tiles. The walk from the car park was completely dark and uneven/potholed. That made it unsafe. However, the staff made up for the poor impression that condition of the premises. Very good breakfast and good service.”

“Great hotel for a great price. Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot.
