「Lovely house in a quiet neighbourhood with glorious views over Funchal. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very close to a cafe / bakery and small supermarket. About 15 minutes' walk downhill to the Old Town, with plenty of excellent places to eat (but get the bus or a taxi back if you're not fit, as it's uphill all the way!). Really good communications from the owner, and a helpful guided tour on arrival. Already looking forward to a return visit」

「We just returned from a wonderful trip to Madeira. We spent about 3 weeks in Ponta do Sol in this wonderful villa - Casa Araujo.We loved the view from the house. The house was clean, check-in and communication with host were excellent. he wifi extenders were replaced when we pointed out that they weren’t working. The location was very quiet. 「It is a very nice house and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. They arranged pickup from the airport and offered cars for rent if we chose to. The stairs to the property were difficult for the little ones and an elderly gentleman with us. The pool is small and is away from the main house we stayed at and is shared with I believe 6 other apartments on the property 」
