“I have stayed at the Monte Carlo for over 20 years and they have always looked after my needs with great care and compassion. The hotel is set in a wonderful position in the town ( not the soulless hotel zone) overlooking the sea and mountains. It’s a period hotel, with tremendous charm with a pool on the roof at a certain price point. We visited in April 2024 and the staff were fabulous and the stay in Madeira a joy. “Idéalement situé à Funchal dans une rue calme et à 1 minute à pied d'une rue piétonnière agréable avec des restaurants variés. La cathédrale (le centre de Funchal) est à environ 5 minutes à pied. Un centre commercial est à 2 minutes et a un hyper marché pratique pour les achats pour les randonnées ou autres. La chambre dispose d'un micro-ondes, un frigo avec congélateur et même de plaques pour la cuisson... un ventilateur est présent. La chambre 29 dispose d'une petite terrasse sans vis-à-vis,……

“Great staff and rooms were really nice. Looked like they had recently been remodeled or updated. Bed and sofa were a bit worn out but otherwise great. The road up to the hotel is windy and gets very narrow the closer to the top. Doable, but be ready for some driving excitement. Staff was awesome!”

“I booked this hotel for a 5 night stay in Madeira but wanted somewhere with parking so had to go a bit outside the main city. Hotel has easy parking, the rooms were clean and well presented. Staff were super friendly and always happy to answer questions. I had a meal at the restaurant one night too which was good. The walk down to the city was easy enough. The walk back up was a little harder (given up hill all the way) but great for my exercise and fitness. Breakfast was standard Europe……

“C’était assez propre et confortable au niveau de la chambre. Relativement au wifi, il se déconnecte toutes les 20-30min, il faut donc le reconnecter à chaque fois ce qui fini par être un peu embêtant, utiliser votre 4G/5G si possible.”
