「We just got back from 10 nights at the Mahekal. We got a free upgrade as it was low season, which was great, though the view from the balcony was poor in one room. Check-in was smooth, cleaning was thorough and regular and the facilities were great. No problems finding a spot at the pools or the beach. 「Dies ist ein charmantes Boutiquehotel. Es besticht durch geschmackvolle Zimmer, sehr bequeme Betten und ein fantastisches Frühstück im Garten. Lärm dürfte überall in Playa del Carmen ein Problem sein, so hört man auch hier den Lärm vom Restaurant nebenan. Mit Ohrstöpseln lässt sich das aber gut lösen. 」

「I strongly do not recommend staying at this hotel. Here are the reasons for my disappointing experience: 1. Terrible Noise and Location The soundproofing is absolutely terrible. The hotel is located in a very noisy area, with several bars downstairs blasting deafening music until 2 AM every single night. It’s impossible to get a good night’s sleep. 2. 「Es la tercera vez que mi familia y amigos nos hispedamos aqui, y siempre un trato amable y calido, ya es nuestro hotel para llegar a playa del carmen」
