“This site is nice. Definitely off grid. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, hard at a rock. The tioilet/porta potty to the site we booked was out of order so we needed to go to the next site over.We had to cut our trip sorry due to illness and couldn't get a refund.”

“We had never been to this area and the house was the perfect home base to use to explore the area. There’s a lot of beaches and state parks to enjoy on the island and we also explored the area’s other features including Port Townsend and wineries/cideries. The house was beautifully maintained and comfortable and we loved being there and on the water. ”

“Had fun”

“6000 mile trip. Probably our favorite location. Quiet. Loved watching the goats. Is a tv. No signal or cabel. If head that way again will take a dvd player along. ”

“We had a great time exploring the island. The house was nice and well stocked. The deck had a great view of the water and we saw seals out playing ever evening.”

“We had rented this house previously and rented it again for a family gathering. It has been great both times we’ve rented. The house is nicely arranged for accommodating couples, families, and individuals, and provides a comfortable spot for spending relaxing time on beautiful Hat Island. The lot and picnic table across the road provide a wonderful view of Puget Sound, boats, and the state ferries.”

“This is the most perfect place! The cabin is spotless and so is the yard. We really appreciate the privacy of the location and the beautiful views which change with the tides. This was our 3rd visit and we’ll definitely be returning.”

“Had a super fantastic trip. Everything was in order in the VRBO. There wasn’t a single thing we could’ve wanted. Everything was there. Extra towels. Kitchen items. Plastic bags. Portable coffee cups. Even a noise maker if the quiet really was more than you could handle.”

“Beautiful historical hotel, the rooms were comfortable, the bed too and we liked the vintage style fridge. Because this is a historical building the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! I'd give it a higher rating but the thin walls were an annoyance. Also, no AC in the unit.”

“Unit was very large with beautifully equipped kitchen. Bonus was it even had a dishwasher! Yard was partially fenced which was an added benefit if traveling with a pet. Only downside were the trains running in the middle of the night if you’re a light sleeper. Very clean and well maintained. Great value for the size and amenities. ”

“Clear communication and kind interaction with management. Such a fun place to stay with children who can explore the woods, endlessly and find magic in every nook and cranny. The extra wood available for the fire pit was so great and appreciated. We were unable to find bug repellent that stated would be left, but we didn’t have any issues. Kitchen is a little sparse for needs and maybe some more child friendly size eating where, but all the basics were there and everything was comfortable. Check……

“Beautiful property! A bit of a hiccup with check-in due to not going directly to the property website when reserving. Otherwise so welcoming and friendly! The Jenny cottage was perfect for a solo traveler or couple. So great to have breakfast and dinner right on the front porch with such an awesome view. Will definitely be back!”

“Adults who slept over for a 2 day retreat were all able-bodied and able to navigate the steps indoor and outdoor. Two people joined us for the day who had knee issues and once they got into the house, they were fine.”
