“I’ve stayed in various places in London over thirty years but never on a houseboat. The location is lovely, quiet, and interesting. The houseboat itself is roomy and beautifully decorated from any vantage point. The beds were comfy and the rooms charming. The houseboat is conveniently located near the DLR station, a market, and a notable pub and has a great neighborhood feel. James’s hospitality and helpfulness were exactly what we needed. He answered questions quickly and gave good suggestions.……

“This property was a great location in the city center with good transportation, all around. Enough room for a family of five in great amenities. Only downfall we visited in June when it was very hot and after a very long day of sightseeing, the boat was extremely hot with no air movement. Something to consider if visiting during a hot time I think if we visited during cooler days, it would’ve been perfect.”

“The boat is immaculate a real comfy home away from home but on water lol the only criticism we have is the heating kept going off and it would get pretty cold in there so would be good if the heating stayed on all night during the winter months ”

“Taggs Island is such an interesting little enclave close to London and unbeknownst to us before. Set in a small inlet off the Thames, the house is one of a group facing onto the water. Linda, the host, has very much personalised it and provides every comfort. Although an expensive add-on, highly recommend the hot tub, which is deep and relaxing. Only down-side to the situation and rather shattering the peace, is being on the Heathrow flightpath, which we hadn't thought about!”

“This is a fun place to stay in so much as my room had a massive outside area, the bed was great and I could look out over the water to watch the fun of Canary Wharf Its very very basic. I had no shower gel etc in the shower, the toilet is a marine toilet, no water offered (or available) so needed me to visit a local shop. Its near all the bars so quite noisy. I'd stay there again but not for that price. Its too expensive for what it is. ”

“Easily the best place I have ever stayed. Lovely location, so relaxing and quiet. Host was extremely accomodating and easy to communicate with. Wish I could have stayed longer, and will be back at next available opportunity. 5+stars!”
