"Likes: plenty of parking. Patio door that opens all the way allowing fresh air. Microwave and fridge. The hotel was quiet. Dislikes: the fireplace is not electric. There is one duraflame for use. There was no coffee maker so I went to the breakfast room and that machine was broken. So I went to the front desk and said, “Shouldn’t there be a coffeemaker in my room?” She said we have to ask for one and that there weren’t any left. She did end up locating one and brought it to my room"

"Because of the good reviews I read, I trusted this hotel and booked it, but I am taking the time to warn others so no one else falls into this trap. We paid about $810 for two nights, and it was a complete disaster. The room we received was not what we were promised by the front desk, Roy, and the room was filthy, disorganized, and chaotic, with no assigned parking, constant noise, and no peace at all. When I called to raise my concerns to the manager Aaron, he was shockingly rude, he interrupted me repeatedly, never apologized for the incorrect room, and showed zero professionalism. Instead of listening, he kept cutting me off, and in the end, he just hung up on me. After all this, he still refused to refund us for the second night we did not stay. The entire experience was dirty, unpleasant, and completely unacceptable. Please see the picture below for yourself. If you want a real relaxing stay in Pacific Grove, go to the Monarch Resort across the street. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!—you will regret it."

"Enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. Stay included daily buffet breakfast and reception evening snacks and beverages. Dining area floors and tables were often sticky, probably due to high traffic during the mornings. Otherwise the dining room staff did great in clearing up the tables and replenishing the food when needed."

"Solo female traveler, stayed for 2 nights. The first room that was given to me was dirty. Went back and told the front desk and was given a “clean” second room. The second room appeared to be clean until I saw the sheets were stained and the toilet had urine on it. When I told the front desk he came and wiped the urine off with his bare hands! He then asked me if I wanted another room. I said no, just clean sheets and the bathroom cleaned. The house keepers that cleaned the restroom and changed the sheets were very nice and efficient. The hotel is in a very busy street and you can hear everything from the street and from the people above you. I brought my sound machine so I was able to drown the sound out. The room did smell like food and you could feel the bed springs on the mattress. Doable to sleep on for a few nights but would end up with a backache if you slept on it longer. My key card stopped working on the second day and the front desk was helpful and gave me a second key with no problem. Did not seem like an unsafe area. I was able to walk to my car at night safely. At the end of the day you get what you pay for"
