Loved the Hotel Scherman. I stayed for 5 nights and the staff and hotel were wonderful. Easy access to Broadway and numerous excellent restaurants within walking distance. This will be my go-to hotel from now on for Broadway shows and midtown. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Everything was wonderful at this boutique hotel right in the heart of restaurant row. Wonderful service. Wonderful, spacious room. Great breakfast and coffee. We stayed in the King bedroom on the 3rd floor. The only thing to note is that part of the hotel does not have an elevator, so we needed to walk up stairs when returning for the day. Staff did transport your luggage for you, but if you have mobility issues you’ll want to be sure that you have a room with elevator access.

Everything was wonderful. From the fresh breakfast options, daily refreshing of our room and kind staff to the perfect water pressure of the shower and overall calm, clean environment. Absolutely would recommend, especially if you prefer walking distance to many attractions in broadway/theater area and Times Square. Great for families with older children, couples, solo travels or a girls trip. Very appreciative to the entire team that hosted and cared for us. Our first of hopefully many more New York visits was such a memorable experience thanks to the peace we found in our stay with you. Thank you.

We have found a “ new” home for our NYC visits. This hotel has a ton of charm with wonderful rooms. The location is outstanding for the theater & dining (located on Restaurant Row).

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are large for NYC (we had a double queen), the location is great if you want to be towards the north near Times Square and Central Park and great restaurants in Hell's kitchen. The place was very clean and staff wonderful. The free breakfast was sufficient. The only issue we had was the AC unit ran constantly and blew directly on one of the queen beds, and if we wanted it not to blow, we had to turn it off. We were either too cold or too hot. But otherwise a great choice and would stay again.

Spent one night in NYC to see a Broadway show. Chose this hotel for the proximity of the theater and the positive reviews. The hotel was clean and staff most helpful. Rooftop lounge was perfect at night to relax after a day spent exploring the city. The piano bar across the street was a 10/10. Would stay here again

The property was great. Central to Times Square. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the breakfast and access to Bar Lola (15% discount.) It was a rainy stay so we liked that we could go next door for a nice meal in a swanky atmosphere. It was delicious, and their staff was great as well.

The service was exceptional. There was a huge rainstorm while we were staying there and our air conditioner began leaking a lot from the ceiling. While staff did what they could, they unable to address it that evening and we didn’t have an effective AC. To take care of us, the manager on duty told us she could arrange a room at another hotel across the street or nearby if we wanted to move—at no extra cost to us—or we could remain in our room (they were fully booked so there were no other room options) and she’d refund us. The breakfast was basic but the staff was fantastic and super friendly, and the area where it was served and the decor were great.
