「Tidy, clean and well appointed. 」

「Very handy to the Tongariro crossing and National Park. Warm and cosy. Easy parking. Very well equipped kitchen. Only one change I would request and that is to have it detailed that it’s recommended to take your own sheets, towels and tea towels when booking. 」

「The contact with the host was great, we booked last minute and they still sorted the hot tub out for us, we will definately be going back」

「Beds were not made. Temperature dropped to 6 degrees and electric heater was not working in living room. Used wood burning stove and chopped wood for next guest.Expected to vaccum. Not sure who cleans the bathrooms.」

「Overall a good place if looking to stay in the area as there are limited choices. Access to house was via lockbox/key which was easy. House itself had plenty of room, with a spacious common room with fireplace as well as firewood/kindling/coal provided. Radiators in every room for heat, which was needed even during our summer stay. 「Magical, whimsical and everything you could ever imagine! Johan is a fantastic host, you can tell that this is his passion project. We loved the attention to detail on everything. Wish we could have stayed every night of our vacation here. With that said it was the perfect pairing for the night before our visit to Hobbiton. We felt like we truly lived in the Shire and were taking a day trip to Hobbiton! 10/10 we will stay again when we come back to New Zealand!」
