「We loved the fireplace! It made our family feel right at home. The space was cosy, warm, and welcoming, with a serene view that made our stay even more relaxing.」

「We really enjoyed our stay at the Hole in the Ground - a fun and unique place - it's a great set up and excellent location to explore Cambridge and Hobbiton! We especially loved the friendly cat and inquisitive chickens!」

「Great value for money and a good stay for a small family. The kitchen was well equipped, the laundry was a real bonus, and the heater kept the place nice and warm. Just remember to bring your own bed sheets. The only minor downside was that the toilet is outside the house, but for the price, we really couldn't complain. We'd happily stay again.」

「Lovely and cute room. Astrid and Marcus were super friendly too. We had such a nice get away」

「Amazing location, pet friendly and lovely host.」

「Thomas was very welcoming and amenities were great.」

「The space and property was just perfect for our family ranching from 2 to 70 in age. 」

「Was a fantastic, relaxing and peaceful experience. Thank you Kevin & Kathryn」

「We had a fabulous stay - two families with small kids - they loved the bunk room and the awesome den in the lounge - they spent hours playing in there. Not to mention the spa pool! The place was clean, comfy and lovely, great location close to mountain and walkable to the powderkeg pub, town centre a very short drive away. Would definitely recommend!」

「Amenities were excellent. Tea kettle needs to be descaled. Iron sole plate is scorched. Needs cleaning.」

「I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again. It was perfect for what we needed. However, I would say the listing is a bit misleading. The pool, hot tub and fire pit are not actually at this unit. The property consists of four separate homes and the owner lives in the main home. The pool, hot tub, fire pit and gym are all on the main home's property and are shared. You are basically in their backyard. It was too cool to use the pool anyway, but we may have used the hot tub and fire pit...
