「Stayed one night only but wished we stayed longer to hang our fishing boots a little longer. A spacious studio for 2 people was very clean and had a small kitchen with a cafe table! The indoor hot tub was a welcomed amenity after exploring Hobbiton! The grounds staff were all friendly and Perkins, the dog, greeted us, too. Laurie, the office manager, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Her husband was a delight to talk to, also, about fishing, of course! 」

「I booked this place even though it was a little dearer than Waiheke Resort next door, because the other place had a few bad reviews about check-in only being open between 2-4pm etc, and the bar was closed early etc. So we rocked up at nearly 4pm to check in, and wow it’s the same place!! 」

「The location was disappointing- in a suburban street. The block was unkempt, with very long grass and weeds. There was no view and the outdoor bath had no views to the night sky. The tent itself was well presented and clean. The lock on the gate was not easy to manage.」
