“First there was a refundable fee due at check in that I was not made aware of until AFTER I booked. It was refunded without issue. It was nice to have a physical key for the room instead of electronic. Heavy doors, sturdy stairs. I never heard anyone else while we were there. Location and parking were excellent. The bathroom and room were better in person than photos which was very nice. Owner was friendly, very chatty. I’ve read negative things about his wife- but I had no complaints. She just……

“The street this condo is on is being renovated, so we were a little nervous when we got through the really nice neighborhood and then passed houses in various states of disrepair to get into this unit. In the end, that is not a reflection of what this suite is like, but worth noting the expectation. Don't let what's temporarily happening on the street deter you from staying here. The suite was very nice. Super clean, fresh, and comfortable for my wife and I and our two kids. There are……

“Have to go to sister hotels for breakfast, sauna, other amenities. A/C in my room was broken, had to switch rooms. Windows didn’t open in room. Otherwise it was fine and close to beach. Have to pay extra for housekeeping.”

“Great AC, comfortable room, nice location with a quiet beach”

“Impressed with the whole experience. ”

“Dated apartment but nice location on the Chesapeake Bay. Very convenient to beach. Place was clean and everything I needed. Very good price, much better than a hotel room.”

“Place was clean. No problem finding parking nearby, Easy to get into with door code given. Not a lot of restaurants around, but there was a good pizza restaurant/bar nearby. It's a good place to stay if you want to pay less than the hotels in and around downtown Norfolk. Easy to get to Norfolk by car or ferry.”

“Clean and pet friendly one bedroom apartment with everything we needed for an amazing weekend away. Highly recommend.”

“This was a nice, 2-bedroom unit in a great location.”

“We loved our stay!”

“It's a lovely little spot!”

“My wife, my two boys, and myself had a great Labor Day Weekend! This place was awesome and very great for kids. They lived the playground on the beach that was very close, and their new dream catchers from the store downstairs! ”

“It was a clean room, nice bed, good distance from everything, and host was very easy to get in contact with! We only stayed for one night, but everything was great :) There is a coffee station which was really nice.”

“The property looked new. Marlon, the host, supplied the kitchen with an assortment of pots, pans, utensils, and silverware. The property was close to a main street; numerous restaurants and a major, grocery store were located less than a mile from the property.”

“We had a wonderful stay. It was clean, neat and had a large comfortable bed. Your own parking spot. We would definitely stay here again next time there.”

“We were unable to stay in this location because of the extremely narrow and steep stairwell that you have to climb up to in order to get to the apartment. This place is not for the elderly. I am only 60 years old and in great health, the stairs were scary for me. The balcony is also very sketchy. The door to the balcony would not lock. Also, the location was a little bit suspicious with the toilet randomly sitting next to the house. Communication with the host was very good however, he also had……
